RBR updates and a possible cruise

RBR's tumour has been defined as melanoma (skin cancer)....I guess it is supposed to originate from there, though he prolly didn't even know he had them.
He seemed to be recovering well from the surgery.
This is the first stage of his treatment.
There are many stages more to go. The second tumour that is embedded deeper is still there.

JAR and I are making plans for the vacation and hopefully it will turn out to be one for his whole family.
We are thinking of taking an Alaskan cruise.
There are several members of his family who seem interested (even RBR!) to go along.
I personally have never been on a cruise ship before and am hoping that this trip will really happen.
My mom has travelled on a cruise shipe in Europe and she was sea sick for most of it!
JAR says that there is already a wait list for the crusie.
Wouldn,t it be nice if all their family members could come along and make this a memorable trip especially for RBR?
JAR says we should buy tickets with insurance so if RBR's treatment does not allow him to go, we can get a refund for most of it.
Still, its all in the planning stages.

I am having a leisurely week at work because of the Chinese New Year celebrations.
A part of me is not feeling very festive but being with my little nieces always gets me in a much happier mood.
Have a good weekend!

dear june..it would be so nice if jar's brother went on the cruise and that the whole family would be together..
oh it is like a dream!
i am afraid of big bodies of water..but i guess you aren't, eh?
to be surrounded by it would be really a worry for me!
will it be warm in alaska, i wonder?
i know that you are in the planning stages, but time will slip by so quickly you will see.
bernie and i are already planning for our trip out to my beloved manitoba...
we will probably be going the second week in july and will take five weeks.
this year we might take a little detour and go and see my brother and his family in iowa, u.s.a.
it will be a long trip!
ha! instead of being surrounded by water, we will be surrounded by prairies!...FLAT land!!
in the meantime, i am waiting on the sidelines. praying for jar and his brother and his whole family and you too junie!!!!love terry

Hi Terry,
Hope ur plans to travel to Iowa and Manitoba works out well. JAR called me just as I was in the midst of typing this. He'll be making the bookings for us all soon - there already is a waiting list - I told him to get those interested in going to commit themselves, otherwise the bookings will never get done.

Remember I told u that JAR and his brothers love to go on hikes? Well the last one that he went to a week or so ago was a pretty challenging one. It was a hike that requires u to move upwards climbing hilly areas and crossing rivers.
JAR had a little fall on his bump in a stream. He used his hand to lighten the fall and ended up with a fractured thumb!
So now he cant go bowling for about 6 weeks. Poor dear.
Oppsss. Time to get back to my work.

oh that poor jar!
it never rains but it pours.
he sure didn't need this on top of everything else, although he sounds like a real sport about the whole thing, still going ahead to make the bookings for your next new dream vacation!
how are your legs doing? i hope that the therapy you are taking is doing good for you.
i haven't been too bad the last week. i find that getting out doors is a whole lot better than sitting around home but i do enjoy getting a little computing done.
yesterday and today, bernie and i made a booklet up for grampa yade and i must say that it turned out fairly nice. bernie is always such a perfectionist. i quite often wonder how he can put up with my disorganization!
do you bowl junie? being a south paw at it, i am very bad!.
it is 1:30 pm where you are and i guess you just finished your lunch.
it is 12:30 am here and so i had better go to bed.
thanks for your comment here. i am always glad to hear your sweet voice.
can you let me know when you hear how jar's brother is and will he be going with you guys?...love terry

Hi Terry,
My legs are getting alot better now. Many days I don't even feel any pain at all. The physiotheraphy seems to be working. I am also doing the theraphy exercises at home and doing all I possibly can to help myself get better.
I still take the pain killers and the doctor says that its ok cos I only use it once a day (amount is minimal). I shall work it so that someday I shall not need to take them so regularly.

I do not bowl well at all.....ask JAR or my nephews! The few bowling sessions that I have gone with them is testimony to that!

I have written another piece (see above) on the proposed vacation...things seem to be moving so slowly at present.

Time to go back to work cos my lunch hour is over now.

You recognize, people unceasingly make comments when anything is predicted to happen in 2012, like “obviously that is if the world is still here.” You do achieve that the Mayans prognosticate the faction will end on Dec. 21 (or 23rd)? So in all good chance if anything is going to take place in 2012 there is only the slimmest possibility that the world will take ended already it happens.
