Niece, Nephew and Aunt outing

Yesterday was yet another public holiday here.
I had planned to take my mom to visit my uncle (yes, the polygamous one) as I had heard that he was unwell.
U can plan but u cannot determine what will happen.

The youngest niece was diagnosed with chicken pox.
The funny thing was she hadn't had any fever, just the appearance of the pox.
The doctor said it was cos she had (as is her generation) been vaccinated as a baby, so she had some antibodies already to fight the disease.
No one can remember if I had chicken pox before - not even myself.
My niece the medical student took matters into her own hands - she strongly (to put it mildly) suggested that I wait a couple of days before visiting my mom (its contagious within 5 days upon appearance of the pox marks and can incubate up to two weeks before u show signs of having it urself!)
Medical student niece said that it would then fall right about the time we are leaving for our Australian trip. Smart girl. Aunt listens. No visiting grandma for a few days.

Niece and her brother Nephew and me, the Aunt then decided to have our own day out.
We went to a new shopping mall near my condo.
We went to an Italian Restaurant for a late lunch and then to another restaurant for desert!
Fun all the way! Its great that I communicate this well with my siblings' kids.
We all talked about the planned holiday trip and how we are going to enjoy it.
My eldest sister normally has strict rules for her kids but they know that the Aunt lets them get away with a lot more fun!
