Unexpected rest at resort

Mom, big niece and I got an unexpected middle of the month holiday break last weekend. We just decided to spend a night at the nearest (sort of!) resort. It was only a half hour drive away. however, we did not take into account the road construction works! Yup, we got lost ....ended up at some other part of the world....this happened cos when they had the road detours, they forgot to put up the direction signage at a round-about! I did an innie-minnie-mynie-more and drove taking the three o'clock turn instead of the twelve o'clock turn. Never mind, I found a new route to no where again.
We reached the resort alive and again! there were reconstructions going on there. You had to drive through TWO car parks from the main road before you would be able to reach the actual resort. No signage to show that you had to drive down two floors on the first carpark before you can possibly reach the second car park!!! Another round of driving to no where land! I really needed a rest by the time we finaly made it to the resort.
Mom had a nice time there. We decided that she deserved to go to the spa and arranged a massage session for her. Aroma theraphy. Mom thought I should have one too. No thanks. After all the driving I just needed to sleep on the bed. I done even need a massage to feel good.
Later that day, we went to shopping at the resort shopping mall....big niece and I got ourselves some tee shirts.
Its good to have unexpected breaks like this. My next break will be my Borneo holiday five weeks down the road!
