pigmentation story

Been so busy lately. So much to be done both at work and at home. Unable to even visit my condo (read that as my vacation home) lately too.
I will be working this weekend. Its a good thing I enjoy my job. How do people who actually hate what they do survive their busy periods?
Lets move on to a vain topic. Its now over a year that I've started using the products introduced by my beautician. My skin is a hundredfold better looking. I used to have two big dark spots (pigmentation) on my cheeks. That was horrible since as a teen ager I had reasonably good skin. In my twenties people used to say that I had nice glowing skin. Then.....it happened. I dont know where it came from but I had to live for years with the uninvited 'monsters'. I was not happy. I had to cover up my face with thick make-up everytime I were to leave the house.
I lost confidence. I began to believe that I could never be pretty.
When my brother had his engagement, I was looking like a beast.....I imagined that people were thinking....ah....thats why the elder sister remains unmarried....she's too ugly for words.
Anyways my brother's engagement did not last. He married a nicer girl. And I recovered my looks!
How's that for a happy ending?
Looking back the possible reasons that the pigmentation spots arrived could be the life-longmedication that I was forced to take after falling ill 9 years ago. It could also be due to some make up that so many of us used back in the 90's. There was a period when looking good meant that u had shiny skin. And at that time there were even products from Japan that gave you the said 'glow'. I tried it. My friends tried it. I think most of us who did ended up with some pigmentation. My face however had the biggest, darkest and worst effects.
Now its almost history.
I do NOT wear any thing to cover my skin anymore. Maybe a little mascara. Always some lipstick. Never any foundaton or powder any more. I can proudly go out with just some sun screen. The pigmentation has lightened to almost my skin color. I am almost pretty; even if thats only in my eyes. After all thats whats most important. When you believe that you look good, you will feel good.
Have a good weekend!
