Festivities

The wonderful thing about our festivities is that people always take the opportunity to travel back to their hometown. A gathering of families and friends normally separated because of work commitments and distance.
The awful thing about the process is that everyday u hear of road accidents that happen due to tired, careless drivers or weather conditions.
Both my brothers will always drive to their in-laws place down south. Both my sisters are lucky enough to marry guys whose families are right here in the city.
This year my youngest brother had bought a Honda car just three weeks prior to the holidays.
Mom and I were to spend the first day of the festivities at home and my sisters and their families plus one brother's family. Youngest brother would go back to in-law's place first and return on second day.
Normal practice. Only each year the brother that stays will alternate.
Youngest brother and his family of two cute nieces went home in their new car.
We had a good first day with many visitors coming over to wish us and share our cooking.
On second day we did tyhe visiting.
Late in the evening youngest brother and family arrives with a badly damaged back bumper and bonnet of the Honda.
His car was hit by a careless police sergent who was dreaming as he drove.
We are just thankful that no one was hurt.
Many good things happened to me this round of festivities and I am thankful to God for every single one of them.

i love family get togethers june..
i have an aunt who lives in british colombia and she is down for a month visiting all of her brothers and sisters.
on october 17, we are all going to gather at a restaurant for a meal
probably about 35 people.
you know, i really do think that it is needful because usually the only time that families see each other[i mean cousins and aunts and uncles] is at a funeral and that is way too bad.
i am glad that your brother and his family were not hurt in the accident and that their car was well enough to finish the trip to see you guys!..love terry
