looking good

OK. My smile DOES look that much better now. I really shouldnt complain when the credit card bill arrives at the end of the month. Its a life time investment after all.Funnily enuff, my buddy was the first person who encouraged me to do something about the teeth. I have strong teeth though the alignment could be improved. I had a dental contraption that required me to use it as I sleep for about a year. That was quite a succesful venture a few years ago. However as of this year I had noticed how crooked a particular tooth had slowly become. The visit to a cosmetic dentist solved that problem in a matter of three hours! They just cut part of the teeth, placed a composite over it and hey! presto! I have straight good looking teeth! See how far the dentistry world has developed. I hear dentists are also getting richer from all the exorbitant fees they now charge. Ah welll....beauty comes with a price.

'out of the box'

I survived the week of bad schedules! There will be another onslaught in mid March but that will come to past too.
I got not one but TWO tickets for speeding! The incidents took place last year but it takes the cops and their system almost a year to send out the summons. I am a person who normally live within the expectations of society so for moi to get a ticket is quite an event! I managed to get the amounts for the summons reduced and immediately paid for them.....there goes my 'rebellious' streak season!
Tomorrow I have a dental appointment. For an atrocious amount of money I hope to get a better looking smile. Is that even possible? Ah well....sometimes you got to invest a little, experiment something new, and maybe the outcome enriches your life more that you thought was possible. We'll see.

work, divorce and garfield

Work is about to bring me to some dark corners. I have been given a pretty bad schedule to get simple things done. Next weekend may not even exist for me. The way I see it I would have to work thru both Saturday and Sunday if I am to get anywhere near reaching my targets. Its not too big a deal as long as I can focus on the following weeks to come.
I am not the only one working hard. My buddy has also been working weekends half way across the world. He is however, alot happier now. The divorce is falling into place. He no longer has to pay alimony with the agreed settlement. Of course he had to mortgage all his properties to come up with a lump sum payment to be rid of his ex at one go. Sometimes in life we need to not value everything by monetary terms. Personal freedom and peace of mind is priceless. If its time to let go of the past (be it wife, husband, history, etc) then if we need to let it go with a price, we just do so. After all, we then have the future to look forwards to. All the world then becomes possible - new adventures ahead. If one refuses to part with some money just because its money, then think about the lost opportunities that lies ahead. I agree with my buddy's decision. God gives us our earnings. HE may just decide to shower my buddy with untold wealth in the future. Well....he just might be a very lucky man.
I took my little niece out this weekend. She rode on a Garfield motorcar at a shopping mall. Then she refused to get up. Its nice to be so young and so emotionally attached and also to be free in expressing your feelings.
