Work before the rest

The schedules are in. Next week I begin the marathon of work. I will work thru the last Sunday of May. It will be a full two weeks. One consolation, I get two days off midweek first week of May. Then the second load of expected heavy work (by far bigger than the first one) will arrive and may take two weeks to complete. Will I survive?

Ok. Ok. Take another perspective. Then another two weeks following that.....my VACATION arrives! Yes! I can survive any work tsunami cos I can see the end of the tunnel before I even enter it!

JAR has made the necessary arrangements for the Niagara Trip.

He will also be very busy with work for the month to come. Dont worry JAR, u too will get a break soon! We all deserve each second of our vacation time!

hot dollars amd me or.....hot me and dollars!

Investments agents. They are on the look out for me. Hmmnnnnn. They must think that I have lots of extra cash to invest. Ouch. ok.ok. Maybe I am not dead broke but I am still way aways from being rich either.
I am spendthrift I will admit. In other words, I am careful with my spending but that doesnt mean I wont splurge once a while. I do. Especially on my loved ones (me, myself included!).
The call of the investment lady came at the right time tho. I am planning for a secured future where the money will work for me and not the other way around.
I want to enjoy today too. I love to travel so some portion of my yearly expenses is set aside from that. I need to get my condo looking good so there goes another chunk. I prolly will need a new car soon too. So do I have any extras to invest? Do I go for the high risk high return ones?
Mom made such an investment early this year the lucky lady received her high returns just three months after the purchase.
I want the extra cash I hope to be able to get my money to earn but I also need to be careful as the greedy little pig gets its house blown off (or have I gotten the wrong nursery rhyme?)
I shall do my maths and decide on the investments soon. BTW the investments I am talking about comes from a govt backed bank portfolio.....no fly by night get rich quick schemes for me!!!

weekend and other days

Another weekend gone. I am wishing that time will move at a faster pace than usual and pooof! suddenly I want to find myself on vacation time again!
We've made the basic discussions and there is a general agreement to go to NY and Niagara Falls. That means many long flight sessions for me....however, I am game for it!
I need to get to LA to meet up with JAR and BR.
However, all that is still a couple of months away. As u can see I am an early planner.

Mom was not feeling well this weekend so we mainly rested in the house on Saturday. The repairmen are still doing the roofs. They are a noisy lot and frankly I do not feel comfortable with them around the house. Thank god they dont work on Sundays. Peace and quiet and I catch up on my sleep.

Work goes on in a haphazad speed. Sometimes there's just too much to do.....other days its not too bad. I find that I actually enjoy the busy days more.
