First days
It was a long and tiring flight. I am kinda used to the being in various sitting positions , trying to find a comfortable angle to sleep, starring at the many many movies of your choice periods.
I dont make friends on the flights. One, I'd rather rest than tell some busybody where or what I was going to do. Two....I had an experience of offering my unopened bottle of juice to a fellow passenger who was at that time desperately looking for some change in order to be able to buy water in the local currency during the transit....(which I dont remember her thanking me for), she also completely ignored me after drinking my juice that I had saved for my thirsty period!
I do however enjoy looking at other travellers even if I do not communicate much with them.
Arriving at LAX there was a long queue at immigration but the friendly officer made the process a breeze this time. My bags arrived just as I got to the carousel. JAR was also waiting for me at the arrivals.
He still hadnt made his doctor's appointment so we drove straight to the doctor's office to make one. I shall be accompanying him to the hospital next week.
We had a late lunch at the BBQ place which he knows I love. Of course we both packed half of our food. JAR goes back to work after he sent me home to unpack.
Its always great to shower after the journey.
Later when he got back home, we went out to do his normal banking and post office errands.
JAR took me to the house he intends to purchase.
I had seen pictures of it. Yes its a little run down but thats the opportunity part. Its also situated very close to the community's awimming pool and jacuzzi. The trees are fully grown. It has a wide garden at the back. There is space to rest outside the house. We couldnt go inside the locked house as it may be next Tuesday before the deal closes. We peeped in from the windows. Looks small enough to be managed by someone who does NOT do much housework most of her life.
Then JAR drove me to see his condo which is not too far away. That one looks beautiful as it is being lived in by his tenant.
We ended the day by going home and rested in the jacuzzi. After the long flight for me and the heavy amount of driving for him, we both melted in the warm bubbles.
Next morning JAR decided to cook some stuff to bring to work. He is a wonderful engineered cook, using his knowledge of engineering as a basis of his cooking. I decided to stay home to sleep off my jet lag. I finally got up mid day and started to clean up alittle. There was two rounds of washings and dryings. Been quite while since I did that.
I hope the next day gets to be more exciting.
